The Academy is pleased to offer the AAD’s 2014 Quality Reporting System (QRS) module for eligible non-physician clinicians working in an AAD member’s dermatology practice. As outlined by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) rules, all physician assistants (PA), nurse practitioners (NP), clinical nurse specialists (CNS), and advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) are potentially eligible to report PQRS measures in 2014. To be eligible for participation in Medicare’s PQRS, the non-physician clinicians must bill Medicare under their individual National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers, where the rendering provider’s individual NPI is entered on a CMS 1500-type paper or electronic claims form.
The eligible non-physician clinicians can use the 2014 QRS module to potentially earn a 0.5 percent incentive, as well as avoid a 2.0 percent payment reduction in 2016. Non-physician clinicians can purchase the QRS module for $249.
To begin, download and complete the attestation form below, which attests that the non-physician clinician is affiliated with an AAD member’s practice. Save this form because you will need to upload it later to register for and purchase the 2014 QRS module.
