Description:
Homeopathic medicine is an inexpensive, non-toxic system of medicine used by millions of people worldwide which uses microdoses of natural substances derived from plants, minerals, and animals for the purpose of stimulating the natural healing response. Homeopathic medicine was founded in the late 1700s and early 1800s by Samuel Hahnemann, MD, a German physician and chemist. A selective review of recent homeopathic clinical studies pertinent to dermatology will be presented. Before and after clinical photos of common dermatoses will be discussed, illustrating the implementation of homeopathic medicine into a general dermatology practice.
