  • 1. Assess the various Medicare incentive and penalty programs available to providers.
  • 2. Determine how your practice should react to the current Medicare regulations.

Description:
The emerging regulatory health care environment for physicians is becoming increasingly complex and difficult to manage. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has implemented several new incentive programs over the past few years and will begin instituting penalties to all providers who do not meet these requirements in the future. Speakers will present information relating to all of the current and upcoming regulatory changes, including the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program, the Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Incentive Program, the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) Program, preparing for ICD-10, and the implications of health system reform.
