Description:
This session is directed to dermatologists, and dermatopathologists with a focus or deeper interest in the pediatric population. Techniques for skin, hair and nail biopsies to assure maximal yield of information, pertinent clinical history and requirements for imaging to help the dermatopathologist and pediatric dermatologist render the best possible diagnosis will be discussed. Special emphasis will be applied to immunohistochemistry and biomarker typing to help differentiate benign from malignant proliferative entities as well as inflammatory and some genetic conditions.
