Description:
There are several types of biologic dressings derived from human, porcine and bovine sources. Patients with large surgical wounds that are not amenable to traditional closures may benefit from their use as an adjuvant to the postoperative wound healing process. This session will describe the biologic dressings available in the U.S., their indications for use, patient selection, and clinical pearls on their use in dermatology surgery. Basic coding for these dressings will also be reviewed.
