Description:
The treatment of melanoma patients with locoregional and distant metastases has changed dramatically with the availability of new immunotherapeutics and molecularly targeted therapies. This session will review the current approach to genetic analysis of melanoma and the use of this information to guide therapy for metastatic disease. Discussion will also include next-generation immunotherapeutics including immune potentiating antibodies, biochemotherapy and therapy with activated T-cells, molecularly targeted therapies, intralesional therapies and isolated regional therapy. Mechanisms of current and potential future therapies will also be discussed.
