Learning Objectives:
Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Identify male and female candidates for hair transplantation
  • Differentiate between robotic follicular unit extraction vs. elliptical donor harvesting for men and women
  • Integrate hair transplantation into a dermatologic practice

Description:
The focus session topics to be reviewed include: medical/LLLT therapy with hair transplantation, candidate selection, robotic follicular unit donor harvesting vs. elliptical donor harvesting, anesthesia, hairline design, corrective hair transplant surgery, staff training and integration of hair transplant surgery in a dermatology practice. In addition, the session will clarify the role of hair transplantation in the treatment of hair loss for patients. The focus session is directed towards novice and experienced hair transplant surgeons.
