Learning Objectives:
Following this course, the attendee should be able to:

  • Assess photodynamic therapy as a useful method for field de-cancerization in elderly and high risk immunosuppressed patients
  • Evaluate the modalities that can be combined with, potentiate and optimize PDT for targeting AKs, non-melanoma skin cancer and photo-aging
  • Select PDT candidates and set therapeutic goals

Description:
Photodynamic therapy is a useful modality for field cancerization, in elderly as well as high risk immunosuppressed patients. This session will assess PDT efficacy as single modality and further examine combination protocols with PDT and other field therapies. New insights and algorithms for potentiating and optimizing PDT in medical and aesthetic dermatology will be outlined.
