Hybrid work environment: The Academy offers a hybrid work environment; providing time in the office for in-person collaboration and the opportunity to work remotely for focus time.
Medical insurance: Choose between three different medical insurance plans that best fit your needs and lifestyle.
Dental insurance: This benefit includes preventative, basic and major dental services as well as orthodontia care.
Vision insurance: This benefit includes exams, lenses, and frame coverage.
Flexible spending accounts: We have a variety of flexible spending accounts including medical, dependent care, commuter and health savings accounts. Eligible employees can set aside pre-tax income to pay for eligible expenses.
Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance: This benefit is two times your annual salary up to $250,000.
Short- and long-term disability insurance: This benefit pays 60% of the employee's salary for eligible time away from work.
403(b) plan: The AAD matches dollar for dollar up to 6% of the employee's contribution. Eligible employees can contribute up to 40% of their compensation to the annual deferral limit on a pre-tax basis.
401(a) Pension plan: Eligible employees receive an amount equal to 5% of their compensation.
Vacation days: Full-time employees accrue 10 days per year for one to three years of service; 15 days per year for three to 10 years of service; and 20 days per year after 10 or more years of service. New employees receive a prorated amount of vacation days during their first year of service.
Sick days: Full-time employees accrue 12 days per year. New employees receive a prorated amount of sick days during their first year of service.
Holidays: Full-time employees receive nine scheduled, paid holidays and three floating holidays per year.
Incentive compensation program: Cash bonuses are based on the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
Performance appraisal program: Formal supervisor and self appraisals are conducted every year and merit increases are awarded based on annual performance appraisal ratings.
Work-life balance programs: These programs provide staff with a more flexible work environment while meeting the needs of the AAD. This includes our volunteer program, employee assistance program, employee matching gift program, flexible work arrangements, and many more options.
Working on Wellness (WOW) program: Our WOW program provides all AAD employees fun incentives and opportunities for participating in a variety of healthy lifestyle activities.
Recognition programs: In recognition that employees are our most valuable asset, the AAD has established a recognition program to reward and recognize employees. This includes gift cards, additional time off, years of service awards, and many more options.
Tuition reimbursement: After six months of service, full-time employees may receive reimbursement up to a maximum of $5,250 in a calendar year for accredited courses at a university. The AAD pays on a scaled reimbursement schedule based on the grade achieved.
