How to enter the 2024 Innovation Academy Swag Bag Drawing
Once you are certain you meet the “Prize eligibility” criteria below, stop by the AAD Resource Center, Booth 608, to pick up and fill out your entry ticket.
One ticket will count as one (1) entry, with the limit of one on-site entry per person, and one additional entry allowed for those who received an extra ticket in the mail.
Participants must be in the AAD membership categories specified in the “Prize eligibility” section below in order to enter the drawing. By filling out your entry ticket, the AAD will notify you of Innovation Academy meeting information including but not limited to registration information, sessions, and exhibit hall activities.
Prize
Four (4) randomly selected winners will receive one (1) AAD Innovation Academy Swag Bag valued at over $1,000, containing several items including complimentary registration for the 2025 Innovation Academy. Complimentary registration is only valid for the 2025 Innovation Academy meeting to be held in Chicago, IL (July 10-13) and is non-transferable to any other individual or AAD meeting. Winners are responsible for all travel and lodging expenses associated with the complimentary 2025 AAD Innovation Academy registration prize.

The odds of winning a prize depend upon the number of individuals who participate in the contest. Winners will be responsible for any tax liability associated with winning the prize and will receive a 1099 that will include the value of the prize.
Prize eligibility
No purchase necessary to participate or win. Open to those who are registered for the 2024 Innovation Academy, are age 18 or older at the time of entry, and are U.S. AAD members (U.S. residents and legal citizens) in one of the following categories:
Fellows
Associates
Affiliates
Adjunct members
This does not include AAD members in life/honorary categories or AAD members who reside in Canada or international members. AAD employees and their immediate family, as well as AAD officers and board members, are not eligible for entry.
Winner selection and notification
AAD will contact the (4) winners by email to confirm a winning entry by Friday evening, August 2, 2024. If a potential winning entrant does not respond to correspondence within 72 hours, the potential winning entrant will be disqualified and a new winning entrant will be selected by random drawing.
Prizes may not be substituted or transferred by any contest winner and a winner may not receive cash redemption equal to the value of the prize in lieu of the prize. AAD reserves the right to substitute alternate prizes of equal or comparable value.
Restrictions; release of liability; additional terms
Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these official rules & regulations.
Neither AAD nor anyone involved in administering or providing the prize for the Contest will have liability for (A) technical malfunctions, including those arising from electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, (B) any damages or losses of any kind caused by any acceptance, possession or use of the prize, (C) inaccessibility or unavailability of AAD’s exhibitor floor in whole or in part for any reason, or (D) cancellation of the 2024 or 2025 Innovation Academy event in whole or in part for any reason, including force majeure.
By participating in the Contest, the winner agrees that under no circumstances will AAD, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, agents, or licensees (“Released Parties”) be liable for any form of damages arising out of their participation in the Contest, including but not limited to any injuries that winners or others may suffer while at the meeting venue, and each winner and his/her family and heirs further waive any rights to bring any claim against the Released Parties in any forum related to their participation in the Contest.
If for any reason this Contest is not capable of being conducted as planned due to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, acts of God, government regulations, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of AAD, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, AAD reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. This Contest is also void where prohibited by law, including in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these contest rules and regulations.
