Our strength and our advocacy comes not just from one voice, but from the collective power of thousands of voices. Our education is practical and comes from the combined expertise of today’s thought leaders teaching tomorrow’s thought leaders. Our progress and our growth comes from listening to the ideas and diverse opinions of many. Our innovation comes not from technology for technology’s sake — but from facilitating innovative approaches to improving patient care and dermatologists’ education.

The AAD’s brand

The AAD’s brand is focused on education, advocacy, member-centricity, and innovation.

  • Education: Recognizing that it has a responsibility to advance the next generation of thought leaders, the AAD is the premier provider of practical and breakthrough innovation of dermatologic education, delivered in an engaging way.

  • Advocacy: The AAD strives to empower and encourage active participation from all dermatologists to collectively demonstrate the strength and partnership of the profession to the world.

  • Member-centricity: The AAD listens to its members with an openness to new ideas and differences of opinions and practices. Understanding that perfect consensus is not possible, we will work towards the same goal of the highest quality and compassionate dermatological care.

  • Innovation: The AAD is a forward looking organization with an openness to embracing new technologies and approaches that enhance patient care, advance dermatology and improve the delivery of AAD’s own products and services.
