Educating the public — Millions tune in to Videos of the Month for your tips on skin, hair, and nails

At the close of 2021, our Videos of the Month received over 21 million lifetime views on platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Our Videos of the Month share your tips to help patients manage their skin, hair, and nail conditions at home. Each video, around a minute or two in length, advises viewers to visit aad.org/public and consult with a board-certified dermatologist. In 2021 alone, we tracked 5.6 million views to our Videos of the Month. In addition, our media relations efforts to promote the videos generated 215 stories and more than 378 million media impressions.

• Wound care

Last year, we produced and published nine new Videos of the Month. You play a large part in what we decide to cover in a Video of the Month, and we work closely with the AAD Public Education Committee to gain expert insight on what your patients need to know.
