Advocating for you

Educating the public
On our website and out in the world, we continue to position you as the experts, and the public is listening to you.
As a result of the Academy’s media relations activities, our messages were featured over 12,800 times throughout the U.S. last year.
The AAD’s media relations efforts resulted in more than 500 stories on Melanoma Monday in a variety of media outlets across the country.
The Academy has launched a resource center that provides a convenient, centralized database of content for people with darker skin tones.
Coverage of the Annual Meeting appeared in more than 120 media stories and was seen more than 81 million times.
