AAD bolsters information about darker skin tones
New and updated content on AAD.org reflects our commitment to providing information for patients of all skin tones.
The Academy launched a Darker Skin Tones resource center in 2022, which included updates on 11 conditions that affect people with darker skin tones more frequently or more severely. It also contained five new content items for people with darker skin tones, including information about dry skin, acne keloidais nuchae, and how to treat light spots on brown and black skin.
