Your Academy CME roundup: Highlights from 2022

By now you know that the AAD offers its members a variety of options to earn CME. You can access more than 60 hours of convenient CME, simply by being a member of the Academy. You also have access to more than 110 hours of discounted CME through your Academy membership.

Thousands of you have taken advantage of the Academy’s CME member benefits, earning hundreds of CME and self-assessment credits. Your Academy consistently delivers on providing you with quality CME opportunities that you can engage with at your own pace.

In 2022, there was an average of 12,670 CME claims per month, with thousands of you taking advantage of all we have to offer:

• 7,681 utilized the Question of the Week platform. The total number of CME credits claimed in 2022 was 70,975.

• 4,372 took JAAD article quizzes, for a total of 59,778 CME credits.

• 1,438 subscribed to Dialogues in Dermatology.

Skin of Color Curriculum added

New for 2022, a host of expert dermatologists in all subspecialties contributed to developing the Skin of Color Curriculum — a complete and definitive in-patient and out-patient curriculum for the diagnosis and effective treatment of skin, hair, and nail diseases and conditions in patients with skin of color.

The curriculum also discusses systemic challenges facing people with skin of color in pursuing careers in medicine, and helps you identify mechanisms to mentor students in the pipeline. You will also be able to recognize existing health care disparities in medicine as well as how to identify implicit bias and microaggressions.
