2023 AAD meetings roundup

The AAD 2023 Annual Meeting in New Orleans in March 2023 was attended by more than 17,000 attendees! This included more than 8,500 medical personnel — more than 2,800 international medical personnel and more than 2,200 residents. The AAD offered more than 300 sessions (with more than 50 new titles), featuring more than 290 speakers, and over 350 exhibitors.

The Academy held its Innovation Academy in Tampa, Aug. 10-13, 2023, with an increase in attendance over the 2022 meeting in Vancouver. Featured sessions included “F001 – The Future of Dermatology,” “E001 – The Branding and the Business of Dermatology,” three new hands-on Derm Labs, and the “C001 – Practice Management Course.” Keynote Speaker Nina Jablonski, PhD, discussed our understanding of the evolution of skin and the genetics of skin pigmentation.
