The American Academy of Dermatology Association (AADA) advocates with state legislators and regulatory bodies on a variety of issues that affect the specialty and its patients. Expert advice, support, and resources are available to Academy members and state dermatology organizations advocating on behalf of their patients and practices at the state and local levels.
AADA members can use these valuable resources to educate, advocate, and communicate with the public, media, and policymakers about pressing state policy issues.
The AADA State Advocacy Grant Program provides financial assistance to state dermatology societies for the advancement of their health policy initiatives, including state lobbying expenses. The application for 2014 is now available.
