Camper medical care
Camp Discovery ensures a perfect balance between fun and necessary medical care, allowing campers to safely participate in a range of activities. Each camp is staffed with medical professionals, including dermatologists, pediatricians, physician assistants, and nurses, and is equipped to handle daily medical care regimens and medical emergencies, should they arise.
Many of the counselors are former campers who have skin conditions as well and can provide support, advice, and mentorship to campers.
Medical volunteers are assigned to each cabin group to distribute medication, assist with camper’s daily care regimens, and monitor their overall health.
If your camper has severe food allergies, you’ll be asked to document those. While snacks and meals are provided, you may also consider packing a cooler with some food and snacks for the week if your camper has restrictive dietary needs. Camps are peanut free.
