For campers and their families

Camp Discovery offers a safe, fun-filled environment for kids living with moderate to severe and/or chronic skin conditions, aged 8-16. There is no fee for camp. All costs, including transportation, are provided by the American Academy of Dermatology through generous donations from its members, other organizations, and individuals.
At Camp Discovery, campers can just be kids. At all locations across the United States, they get to experience the freedom, fun, and friendships of a traditional camp experience in a judgement-free environment. Every camper is encouraged to express themselves freely and participate in activities with peers without fear of stigma, fostering self-confidence and helping them see beyond their conditions.
On-site medical professionals and volunteers provide care and support for campers’ daily skincare regimens, giving families peace of mind and a respite from the demands of caregiving.
