Pam's personal story

Spot Logo
I had a mole removed from my chest in 1970 and was told no follow up needed! In 1999 I find a lump under my arm that was melanoma stage lll, with no site of origin. Two lymph nodes involved. Now I was told it was metastasis. I was given 15% chance of living (50 years old). I was part of a 6 year trial. I had high-dose interferon for one year. It was tough but I did it. Now I'm a full time volunteer for the American Cancer Society, educating and giving back. I am blessed. My parents and husband are survivors also but each had a different type of cancer.
