Cutaneous Issues in Pediatric Oncology

Following this course, the attendee should be able to:
- Recognize and manage acute and chronic GVHD in children after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
- Identify childhood cancer survivors at greatest risk for skin cancer.
- Manage cutaneous toxicities of common chemotherapeutic agents in children.
This session will focus on pediatric oncology-related skin conditions that commonly present to our pediatric dermatology practice. Topics will include the identification and management of acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease, proper skin cancer screening in childhood cancer survivors, and cutaneous toxicities of common and uncommon chemotherapeutic drugs used in pediatric oncology.
