Strong showings and stellar speakers at our 2024 meetings!

AAD in San Diego

If you were at the 2024 AAD Annual Meeting in San Diego in March 2024, you were part of history. More than 19,800 people joined us in San Diego — almost 1,000 more than the previous record (18,830) set in San Diego in 2018. Medical personnel totaled 9,975 while non-medical personnel numbered 2,429. Residents had a strong showing as well, with more than 2,500 attendees. Total exhibitor attendance was more than 6,900, and a record number of press was in attendance.

Attendees took in more than 300 sessions offered in San Diego, including late-breaking research, hot topics, live demonstration and hands-on sessions, and lectures and presentations by experts on important topics for all practicing dermatologists.

Also, new in 2024, Academy members were able to claim CME credits for 2024 AAD Annual Meeting sessions on-demand! 2024 Annual Meeting On-Demand provided access to PowerPoint presentations and audio from hundreds of sessions recorded during the meeting in San Diego. This has been a convenient option for those who couldn’t attend in-person, and a great companion for attendees who want to revisit their favorite sessions or catch ones they missed.

AAD in Seattle

In August 2024, AAD’s Innovation Academy kicked off in Seattle with the Future of Dermatology Symposium. The future-focused session included robust conversation around the pros and cons of AI, new and developing technologies, and research.

During Innovation Academy attendees also heard from experts on topics including innovations in practice management, how to build a strong brand, and the future of AI in medicine. Attendees were inspired by remarks from keynote speaker Diana Nyad, the celebrated long-distance swimmer.
